What if he was just trying to spare my feelings, because he was a nice guy?

What if he only thought he enjoyed sex with me because he hadn’t been with anyone else?

What if he eventually realized I wasn’t good, and then cheated on me?

I ignored the barrage of inner panic-driven questions, and relayed the story (minus the painful insults).

We stayed for a few hours, passing Felix around and sharing stories.

When we finally made it back to our place, Zed kissed me. I thought he probably wanted to have sex, and was too polite to come right out and say so.

But Stewart’s comment was still sticking with me too damn closely, so I pulled away, and we went to bed.
